I write to thank you for your efforts as part of the Policing Operation for the G8 World Leaders Summit at Gleneagles Hotel, Perthshire.

It was a remarkable experience that has been brought to a successful conclusion without the security of the venue having been breached or threatened in any way.

Your Agency’s skill and professionalism contributed to the success and smooth running of the policing operation and were very much appreciated.

Please pass on my thanks to your teams, whom I know worked so hard providing plans, advice, security and emergency cover ensuring that we had all aspects of public utilities protected.

I am also charged with conveying the thanks of the communities of South Perthshire. They and their representatives were naturally apprehensive about the event but were reassured by the courtesy, conduct and professionalism of all involved in this unique experience.
