
The Client
As part of NACCO s (formerly Hyster) continued search to improve the quality of its service to their customers they decided to create a call centre for their customer care representatives. This would be housed within the Irvine facility and would need to accommodate 90 of the their 2000 Irvine facility's staff. They also needed the network installed within a very tight timescale and within budget.
Their requirement was for a network infrastructure which would provide them with high performance, secure and flexible access to internal and external data, voice, internet, video and fax systems. To meet this need we installed a Category6 cabling system with a fibre optic backbone and high speed secure wireless connections for mobile staff. We also had engineers on site for the change over from the old system to the new system allowing NACCO to provide continuity of service to their customers.
Elan staff have worked closely with NACCO s ICT management team for many years and have developed a strong understanding of NACCO s processes and requirements. We have also gained a great deal of knowledge of the Factory
and office areas over this time. It was this partnership approach with NACCO, that enabled us to rapidly install the network infrastructure with the minimum of disruption and no loss of service to their users. This is typical of how Elan
